Why hello, its been a while...

So I had no idea that I haven't written in this thing for over month! Oops. Well let me just tell you, it's been quite the month! So much has been going on. So where to start....

We were hit by a legit hurricane. Strong winds, heavy rain and no power. That was quite the adventure. Everyone survived, but some trees were lost. They're still on the ground and will most likely be for some time.

We've also done some traveling. We've been to San Ignacio, Mountain Pine Ridge Reserve, San Pedro and Placnecia. Placencia is by far one of our favorite places; we've already been there twice. It has some of the best beaches in the country and is really affordable. We literally just sat on the beach all day and went out to some great dinners at night. San Pedro was also really nice, especially since Miami paid for us to go. Not a bad deal, I'd say. There were some crazy golf cart rides and entertaining moments. Mayan Pirate Ship is up on your left.....

This Saturday, the girls will be heading up to Mexico to go shopping and hang out. We're going with OLOG as a fundraiser, so we feel better going to Mexico with people who know what they're doing. So that should be really fun.

We're also planning our Thanksgiving break vacation. This will be the biggest one we go on and also the longest. We'll be in Caye Caulker for about 5 days. We're going to do some snorkeling and banging around by the beach. It really is a tough life we live down here....

There may also be a trip to Cancun. This is still in the works, so it may or may not happen. I'll keep you posted on that.

School is going great. My kids are doing a lot better with rules and such. They are finally beginning to cooperate. It just took them like 2 months to figure this out. I'm teaching a Caribbean novel in literature and working on grammar in English. I just had my last formal observation and I passed my PLC. This pretty much means I'm done! and passed :)

We only have a little over 4 weeks left here in Belize. It has been so much fun and a lot of work. I can't believe we go home so soon. I don't know how I feel about going back home to 30 degree weather and snow :( All I know is that I need to make sure I get a flu shot as soon as I stop off of that plane...
