If a fish touches me, everyone will know. Trust me...

So let's see...What did we do today?

Well we went hiking through the jungle in our bathing suits. We saw a tarantula, which are really less impressive then you might think. They're actually not dangerous, so that takes the excitement away a bit. Then we ate some termites. They are surprisingly minty and have an aftertaste like carrots. Then we went floating down a river, in and out of caves, and saw a bunch of places where the Mayans would perform sacrifices. Afterwards, had a tasty lunch/dinner at Cheers and then came back to the house. And then we discovered a tarantula just relaxing on the side of the house. Today has been pretty eventful.

Tomorrow we're going to the zoo and then checking out some of the local festivals. Supposedly, there are fireworks. Oh, and then thursday night, we went to the Bullfrog, got some dinner and then listened to a talk on Jaguars. It was really interesting, too.

Then next week we're going to see some Mayan ruins. We're going to see Caracul and it'll be an all day thing. It's apparently really close to the border of Guatemala, so we don't just have a tour guide, but an armored guard....this should be pretty interesting.

And then class wise, I finally get to start teaching this week! I'm coming up with lessons as we speak. Well that's it for now :)
